Here you will find detailed, evidence-based knowledge on conventional treatment, complementary measures, repurposed drugs, metabolic approaches, and more \u2013 all in one place. Use the site for clarification, lookup, tools, and inspiration to increase your quality of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the site is also about patient safety and how you can choose measures in a way that you do not risk counteracting your other treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My name is Hanne Kj\u00e6r Uhlig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am a Registered Nurse, cand.arch., and a cancer patient myself. This non-profit site was created based on my own experiences\u2014as a nurse, a relative, and a patient. My goal is to provide you with the information I missed, based on systematic research and evidence-based knowledge (800+ topics (about 300 translated into English, June 26)), while increasing the focus on quality of life rather than solely focusing on quantity of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My mission with the site is to bring clarity, security, and scientific systematics into a field that can otherwise be overwhelming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Research and documentation<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The content is based on systematic research and sourced knowledge (800+ topics). Furthermore, I focus on quality of life rather than just having a rigid focus on quantity of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Illustrations<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Illustrations for the individual articles should be regarded as vignettes. These consist of my own photos, free stock photos from Pixabay, and images created using artificial intelligence, Google Gemini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NB.: I am currently building the English section of this site. Some links will lead to the Danish version of the topic for now. However, they will be updated along the way. Any contribution to the Support Association will help bring the project to completion.<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

When diagnosed with cancer, one experiences the ultimate loss of control. In principle, you receive a death sentence and are aware that time is (usually) a decisive factor. From this point, it can feel as though decisions are being made over your head.

This stands in stark contrast to the reality we experienced at ICAK (now closed). Never give up. There is ALWAYS hope \u2013 and good reason to have it!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this site, you will find a review of various forms of cancer treatment, with an emphasis on complementary treatment. Something I personally missed when I received my diagnosis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I believe that hope is a vital necessity \u2013 even for those categorized as terminal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hope is not necessarily about a guarantee of a cure, but about quality of life, empowerment, and the belief that you can make a difference for your own body and situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So hope can never be false \u2013 instead, it is something that is either present, or it is not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By providing people with knowledge about complementary options, they can regain both hope and control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
